Battery Management Testing Systems — Battery Management Testing Systems (BCE,
FIU, TSE)
Introduction
The Speedgoat Battery Management Testing Systems (BMTS) denote a modular family of
devices for the emulation and measurement of batteries for rapid control prototyping
and hardware in-the-loop testing.
The Battery Cell Emulator (BCE) enables 12 independent and isolated battery cells
to be emulated in one single unit. The stackable design allows hundreds of cells to
be simulated in order to reproduce battery packs and fully test battery management
systems (BMS).
The Fault Insertion Unit (FIU) enables the injection of faults, such as broken
wire, short circuit or polarity inversion, in up to 36 channels per unit.
The Temperature Sensor Emulation (TSE) unit enables the emulation of up to 36
resistive temperature sensors per unit.
