Serial - Read Frame v1

Serial - Read Frame v1 — The Serial Read HW FIFO driver block allows a complete Frame to be read from an Serial Transceiver

Library

Simulink Real-Time - Speedgoat

Description

The Serial Read Frame v1 driver block allows to buffer incoming bytes and then outputs data when a frame has been detected.

Ports

Inputs
enable

A global switch which enables (1) or disables (0) the read operation.

Outputs
data

A vector of 129 elements which represents the Serial HW FIFO. First element of this vector indicates how many bytes have been read from the FIFO. Subsequent elements form the data.

online

A boolean which indicates if the read block detected a header byte. Its value returns to false in case the header detection fails during runtime.

Parameters

Configurable I/O Module ID

This parameter associates a code module block with a configurable I/O module setup block. Set this value to match the Module ID defined in the setup block of the required configurable I/O module.

Channel Vector

A vector of channels this driver block entity will access. You can specify channels in the range 1-N (N = the number of channels implemented in your specific configuration file defined in the Setup block). The width of this vector also defines the subsequent size of some of the following parameters if scalar expansion applies. With a single block, all the channels of the block are synchronized.

Header byte value

A scalar defines the header this driver block entity will track in the bytes stream.

Frame size

Defines the expected frame size. The block checks if the header is present at the beginning of every frame.

Sample Time

Defines the base sample time at which this driver block gets its sample hit. This parameter can also be set to -1 for inherited sample time. The units are in seconds.
